Money Wise App ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use the Money Wise mobile application (the "App").
Financial Data: We prioritize your privacy. All financial records — including transactions, categories, accounts, and recurring transaction rules — are stored locally on your device in an on-device database. We do not transmit, collect, or store your personal financial data on external servers.
Backups: If you choose to export a backup, it is encrypted with a password you set and saved as a file under your control. We never receive a copy of this file, and we have no way to decrypt it without your password.
Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID): If you enable the optional App Lock feature, the App asks your device to verify your identity using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before granting access. This verification is performed entirely by your device's operating system — Money Wise never receives, stores, transmits, or has any access to your biometric data. The App only receives a simple yes/no result indicating whether authentication succeeded.
Automatically Collected Information: The App may collect anonymous usage data and crash reports automatically through standard Apple and Google analytics services to help us improve the application's stability and user experience.

However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The security of your data relies heavily on the physical security of your device and, for exported backups, the strength of the password you choose.
